![]() This one has some Chopin-influenced guitar soloing! Hope this track will bring fond memories to you too, in time! Enjoy." I've played some of the pre-production versions of this one on different clinics and guitar fares! One time in Oulu, Finland, I had a clinic-duet with Wintersun drummer Kai Hahto and we played this track together! He actually learned the song in a real short notice and we jammed through with no problem! Great guy. '6 Bladed Vaults': "This track brings alot of fond memories. 'Lethean Tears': "Ladies, we're coming for YOU!!" 'For Aeons Past': "Similarly surprised, this time I pictured a melodic verse instead of the growling vocals, but damn, kicks maximum ass just as it is! Christian is full of surprises! But after a few listenings, I can see why this is the title track!" The outro vocal parts are awesome too! Also watch out for some axe trading from me and Jani!!" ![]() Christian's vocal arrangements on the verse parts were a nice surprise to me since I always assumed it would be a growling part. 'Through Night-Kingdomed Gates': "Maybe my personal favorite. And with good reason! I think it's worth the extra attention! Great song!" 'Gravitational Lensing': "By now, this track should be one of the more known tracks since it's been online for a while. 'The Close Beyond': "Wow, what can I say? Great song to open up this album! Still can't get over how that 8-string part catches you off guard! Sounds like a rusty hook from below impaling you and dragging you down to hell or something! Me likes! Lead guitarist Tom Gardiner (Hateform, ESSENCE OF SORROW, ex-MORS PRINCIPIUM EST) recently posted the following track-by-track review of the band's new album: 45 features former members of SCAR SYMMETRY, SONATA ARCTICA as well as members of MISERATION, HATEFORM and ANGEL BLAKE. Now, having straighten things out, I hope you can and will welcome and enjoy Stanne's lyrics like intended and deserved, cause unlike my promo-drafts, they have a meaning and a purpose!" Maybe it's a poor consolation, but for the next album there will not be any pre-productional demos or the like, circling the internet, complicating things for you more than necessary! Unfortunately, this change is just something you will have to adapt to, whether you like it or not. Then again, I do understand that some of you, who have been listening to the teaser and the promo-version of 'Clandestinity Now' for quite some time now, have gotten used to these versions and how they sound. It was put together from the promo-material (pre-productional demo-versions, to be precise). The song-teaser was never a teaser put together from the album-material, like some seem to think. However, these parts are inferior in numbers (with the exception of the lyrics for 'Lethean Tears', which was written in its entirety by me). Other parts have been saved because they actually have some real meaning to them, as well as fitting the concept of Stanne's lyrics. Then again, some words or minor parts have been saved and recycled for the album in order for some of the melodies not to change too much. With this in mind, it's a bit funny to hear how some people seem to prefer my draft lyrics over Stanne's real lyrics when my stuff is utter nonsense, most of the time. It's just an improvised way of working, used when writing the material, in order to make the flow of the musical writing process a bit more effective. ![]() Often just random words and/or sentences put together, in order to complete a certain melody-line, or a specific growled rhythm section. Most of them are just plain nonsense and nothing else. Since it has come to my notice that some people are wondering why the lyrics has changed from the promo, to the actual is a simple reason for that! The lyrics on the promo were draft lyrics, written by me. 45 vocalist Christian Alvestam has checked in with the following update:
